To all my supporters, fellow bloggers and of course the many readers who have regularly been visiting my site and those who have “popped by” in recent weeks I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you guys have done to keep this blog as exciting and inspirational I have been able to make it.
After three years of dedicated creative writing, complementing photography in various posts in multiple aspects in all this blog has been about – the decision has been made to take an extended break from Blondie Loves Ginger in order to craft new ideas and concepts on the sites’ continuation.
I hope you all enjoyed reading the many posts, the same way I enjoyed collaborating with the many organisations and individuals along the way as well as writing these posts for you.
It most certainly has been my pleasure.
Until then, once again…
I would like to thank you very much for visiting Blondie Loves Ginger. x
Erica Brooke, she has to be one of my favourite natural skincare experts right this moment. All of her skincare is made 100% natural. Forget chemical, parabens , GMO’s, harsh fragrances and anything else that can in one way or another damage the largest organ of our body – our skin!
Ericas’ skincare range started way back in 2006 and has grown ever since. So I ask you to please check out her range (I cannot speak highly enough of it!) and join Us alongside her on the journey to rid the world of toxic chemicals, animal testing as well as any misconceptions about ingredients.
Having just recently come across her deodorant creme in wildflowers, its amazing and 100% natural. Having had good reviews gives a positive outlook on a product however reading the ingredients list makes it much more worthwhile.

Who would have thought that in the midst of Autumn we’d still have days full of warmth with plenty of sunshine allowing our summer wear to stay out a little while longer. With the official summer season gone in the distance we tend to still make the most of the current weather even if the the change of season is more or less starting tomorrow, time to welcome the cold with open arms and say hello to a nicely setup fireplace, hot chocolate, hearty meals, plenty of books and family board games to keep us interested while the not-so-lovely weather makes its way through.
Though the cooler seasons are not exactly my personal favorites it does have some exceptional perks such as a visit to Bright Autumn Festival, some relaxation at Daylesford Hepburn Springs Bathhouse & Spa, or a weekend for some lengthy quality family time to explore / taste/ feast here at Weekend – Fit for a King . Surely these outings should keep all of us happy and content before it is time for some spring cleaning around mid to late August.
Time now to reflect and revive myself for the seasons ahead, spending it with close friends and organizing some quality family time too.
Until next time,
B L G
It certainly has been quite some time since I have posted on BlondieLovesGinger – please understand that sometimes life takes unexpected turns and priorities need to be set in which this blog did not make the cut to be a priority at that time, however things have started to look better and brighter – both my partner and I are back at writing for you all through our Lifestyle Blog.
Let me start of by saying that both of Us take our health very seriously. We like to be fit and like to live an active lifestyle which does take place outdoors. We love nature, enjoy exploring and personally I believe that it is a lot better to head out on a walk/hike/bikeride or other then to run the miles in an enclosed environment such as a gym or fitness studio, however in saying that, the cooler weather makes the fitness studio more appealing 😉
I have just recently thought about that there must be other options than Post Workout Protein Powders which are pre-mixed commercially, available in absolutely any sizing…yes I am looking at all of you men out there bulking up to look like the next Hulk. To live healthily, these already processed foods cannot be good.
I have therefore decided to find out what ingredients our body needs especially after a workout to allow the same effect as a protein shake purchased from our fitness studio or supermarket.
I am a lover of smoothies and I am pretty sure I have won my partner over with it as well 🙂 For my personal post workout “protein shake” I have decided to add various fruits/veggies and quark. Quark is high in protein and low in fat AND because of its high level of casein (a slow release protein) does help with muscle build.
For this particular post workout smoothie recipe which you have seen on my Instagram I used:
1 Banana, handful of green kale, handful of baby spinach leaves, one fig, handful of frozen mango and a handful of frozen blueberries and a big spoon of quark. All of these ingredients can be purchased at your supermarket.
The result: DELICIOUSLY – YUMMY!
… and we are back to the festive season, oh how quick time can fly.
With the “silly season” awaiting us literally just around the corner and with big businesses in their starting positions to cash in big; we should maybe think about supporting our local/small businesses. Be it a milk bar, the corner store or your local cafe.
I think we need to realise that small businesses do the hard yards to stay afloat, these guys only have Us individuals who support them by buying the odd loaf of bread or coffee-to-go.
These people have Us as their “business marketers” who recommend them to our family, friends, others through social media and other means of communication.
It is up to you now to take the pledge to support these small businesses in your local area. Spread the word and we can make a world of difference! It’s a networking opportunity for Us to speak directly to the business owner to understand how they operate and how you can help.
Wishing you all a wonderful day.

And our trip takes Us along the way to the beautiful coast of Hervey Bay.
Being a coastal town it’s also hugely known for the Southern Humpback Whales which pass the coast through their migration to Antartica. These whales come to Hervey Bay to raise their calves, relax and play in these beautiful waters which protects them from any predator.
We were lucky to get a good deal on our whale watching tour on the M.S Amaroo – I made sure my cameras battery was charged and I brought all my photography equipment also, mind you it consisted off a few lenses, a few cables and a charger so no biggie. 📸😂
At 8:30am it was on the boat (front seats of course!) and off into the bay we went. It took around 45 minutes to get Us to where per radio to the other crews out there we soon spotted a mother and it’s calf. My goodness are these animals beautiful! They gracefully swamp past the boat and we just all watched in awe.
Our whale watching tour went until 12:30pm with Morning tea being provided on board, which gave us plenty of time to spot other pot of whales in the area which was a definite guarantee on this particular day.
It didn’t take long until we spotted a young whale calf breaching! It was the cutest thing We have ever seen.
My camera has taken the most incredible photographs which I will post to my Instagram account once I am back home as I didn’t take my phone in case I was to loose it on the boat or worse .. in the ocean.
For you all out there ever wanting to see these beautiful mammals, I really encourage you to take a trip to Hervey Bay. It is a beautiful place and I am sure you’ll enjoy your stay here as much as We have !
And we have arrived in Bundaberg, QLD where Bundaberg Rum is produced! Super exciting times ahead … Distillery Tour in the morning (I will say it now: Prost! 🍻), followed by a Seafood Platter for lunch and a Ginger Beer Tour in the afternoon.
Anyhow, I should tell you about the drive. Quite exciting for Wildlife Enthusiasts + all Wanderlusters alike. Leaving Longreach you’ll see Kangaroos, Emus and Eagles (I made my partner pull over to the side road a fair bit just to get that perfect shot👍🏻📸)
You will head inland yet again however trust you are heading towards the coast of Rockhampton. Now remembering that Rockhampton will only be a super quick pit-stop to stretch the legs and grab something to eat. It’s then back on the road to Emerald. Great place to stay is Kin Kora Village Caravan Park, just be careful which spot you pick for your unpowered tent site … my partner was eager to choose the spot this time and this is how it went down 😂😂
The spot chosen was right in the path of the plane takeoff and landing strip 👍🏻🙈
Anyhow we did some Grocery Shopping in town this morning and off we went via Agnes Waters and Seventeen Seventy to Bundaberg!
